RARE Pretty antiqued pendant with what appears to be a genuine amethyst in a dogtooth setting. The pendant, without the bail, is about 3/4" long. The chain can be worn at 16" or 18". Looks like gold filled or vermeil (gold over Sterling Silver) to me, but the catalog lists it as "goldentone." A nearly identical necklace (with 12 prongs instead of dogtoothed prongs and a curb chain instead of a cable chain) in the August 1973 and January 1974 catalogs and called "Antiqued Amethyst." It was in the Lady Coventry "Golden Collection" and listed as being Sterling Silver. Comes in the original Lady Coventry box, but the box is not in good condition.
