Coro Duette Quivering Camellia WITH TAG Rhinestone and Enamel Floral Dress Clips / Brooch EXTREMELY RARE AND HIGHLY COLLECTIBLE
Vintage Coro Duette
This fabulous floral duette is possibly the most sought-after Coro design, and it's easy to see why. Gorgeous shaded enameling, incredible metalwork, loads of chatons and baguettes, and, of course, the tremblers.
"Quivering Camellia" is the perfect name for this duette, as the two rhinestone flowers do just that: quiver. This is not a raucous duette with a worn-out mechanism, it is in its original working order, so that the rhinestones flash just a hint of movement when you move - delicately drawing attention, rather than demanding it.
I constantly scour the Internet and have not found even one other complete Quivering Camellia duette available, let alone one in this fantastic (I believe unworn!) condition. PLUS, this duette has its tag! Some offerings were for one clip alone, another was for a set of clips without the trembling flowers (!) and without the pin frame, etc.
2 7/8" across. Two of the petals have MINOR scuffs to the enamel, probably there since manufacture. They are not noticeable except upon a thorough inspection. I will be happy to e-mail additional pictures to anyone interested in this lovely work of art.
