About Joyful Vintage Jewelry: My fascination with vintage jewelry began several years ago with a search for a gorgeous brooch my mom had when I was a child. Of course, the first time I was allowed to wear it, I lost it. Thirty years later, with the help of the Internet, I found it: Sarah Coventry's Dazzling Aurora! Now, my mom has this stunning design to enjoy once again, and so do all the other ladies in my family!
Placing my hobby of collecting gorgeous and fun vintage jewelry online as Joyful Vintage Jewelry is my way of keeping the hobby alive. With two huge 8-drawer dental cabinets and countless cartons full of vintage jewelry - most of it Sarah Coventry - there's no more room in the house to expand my collection! I've also hit the limit of what I can spend on jewelry (actually, I hit it long ago!). I'm sure my fellow vintage jewelry addicts understand that. So, I'm letting go of some of my collection, so that I can keep enjoying the hunt and acquiring more!

Remember that for Sarah Coventry, I've entered an item in every subcategory that applies to it. So, for example, say there is only one March Love Story ring in the store. If you search for it, it will come up three times in your results: under Sarah Coventry, Birthstones, and Rings. There's still only one ring available. I know it can be a little confusing, but that's the price for having all the subcategories, and I know you love them!
Information You Need to Know
Vintage Jewelry: Unless otherwise noted in an item's description, it is vintage and pre-owned. That means that practically all the jewelry you see here is at least 20 years old.
Condition: Anything that is 20 to 80 years old is not "mint" or "perfect." Even brand new jewelry is not perfect! So, those terms won't be used to describe the vintage jewelry offered here. However, the vast majority of the jewelry is in very good to excellent condition. If an item has an issue (for example, a chipped stone, finish loss or plate loss), it will be noted in the item description.
Cleaning and Polishing: Vintage jewelry offered will generally not require cleaning; if it does, it will be mentioned in the item's description. As many folks who enjoy vintage jewelry prefer the patina of age, I do not polish Sterling Silver jewelry.
Artisan Jewelry: Artisan jewelry is one-of-a-kind jewelry designed and made by me.
Pricing: Finding the beautiful pieces in my collection takes quite a bit of time. I spend many hours each week shopping at antique stores, attending auctions, and searching the Internet, especially eBay where I track prices paid. As a result, I think I've become reasonably familiar with values placed on vintage jewelry.
Also, please keep in mind the huge investment of time I have in researching jewelry and keeping up with trends in collecting. I don't expect to ever be reimbursed financially for my time, but it is very valuable; think of all the hours you can devote to other interests because of my devotion to vintage jewelry!
Likewise, the money I've spent on this store package, the ongoing fees involved in keeping it online and secure, and the hours I spend learning about and improving the store package for your benefit are quite considerable.
